Nearly half of pregnancies in America are unplanned and there are only three choices to choose from when faced with this unintentional circumstance. Your first choice is to parent, second to have an abortion and the third to place for adoption. What you decide to do with a pregnancy is completely up to you. Society will have many opinions about your decision; however, you have to be confident that you made the best decision for yourself. No body knows your story or your life path the same way you do.
Making the decision to have an abortion was not easy. There were many factors to consider and whatever choice you would have made would have greatly affected your life. So if you are here reading this page, I am certain that you thought carefully about your decision.
You may be feeling guilt or spiritually injured because you became pregnant out of wedlock and had an abortion, but I want to applaud you for making this difficult decision and taking back your control. In life there are going to be many people who have opinions about what you decide. Nevertheless we still have to do what is best for ourselves. So while you might be trying figure out how having an abortion plays out in your life story, I am here to tell you that you are a survivor. Do whatever, spiritually you have to do to find forgiveness for yourself. Follow your dreams and accomplish your goals. Respect your body and surround yourself with positive people who will not only respect you but also accept you.
All the emotions you have experienced behind having abortion are natural. This was not an easy decision. It is only natural to experience grief, loss, bewilderment, anger, relief, shame or guilt. When making tough decisions, it is expected to feel overwhelmed; however, do not to feel discouraged. Having an abortion does not define who you are and is only a part of your life story.
So release your pain because you are one step closer and one day closer to moving beyond this decision and toward the next chapter of your life.
